Boromarajjonani College of Nursing, Saraburi (BCNS)

Background
Boromarajjonani College of Nursing, Saraburi (BCNS) was the third academic Institute established in 1966 by
the Ministry of Public Health. Initially, it offered an undergraduate programme of assistance in nursing. Later, in
1970 BCNS introduced an undergraduate programme of assistance in nursing and midwifery.
In 1978, the school was renamed as Saraburi Nursing College and introduced an additional four-year Bachelor
of Nursing programme.
In 1994, Princess Srinagarindra conferred the name “Boromarajjonani College of Nursing” to The Health
WorkforceDevelopmentInstitute,
representing each of the 31 nursing colleges and ending with a province name. Princess also conferred a royal
permission to use the royal abbreviation signature “สว.” for the college symbol and renamed the college

“Boromarajjonani College of Nursing, Saraburi”
BCNS currently offers a full range of academic programmes consisting of:

BCNS believes that an individual is holistic and interacts with environment. He/she has ability to learn and gain selfdevelopment.
To build professional competencies, morality, honor, dignity, and ‘sufficient economy’ concept-based
happiness among learners, an education program should regard kindness, student center and community-based
approaches, and life-skill building. BCNS has involved in social and professional development by conducting research
and providing health-related education. Furthermore, it supports religion and Thai culture with the concern of Thai values.
